Assassin's Creed Jade - Leak shows Kassandra in the game

Assassin's Creed Jade

Assassin's Creed Jade begins its closed beta today, and images have already leaked online showing that Kassandra and Wei Yu are back. He's the man who assassinated China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang - you probably know him from a statue under the village in Assassin's Creed 2. Now we can play like him.

This is not the first time that Kassandra appears since Odyssey. At the end of the DLC The Fate of AtlantisIn the game, she receives an ancient Forerunner staff that grants her immortality. She lives on until Layla's time in the present day, which means she can appear in most games. We meet her again in Valhalla from the perspective of Eivor and now we're ready to meet her again through Wei Yu's perspective.

In the clip, we can see Kassandra showing Wei Yu how to perform the Leap of Faith, with the two of them joking while he follows her. This is part of the mission "A Mediterranean Expedition"whose objective is to "Follow Kassandra". The two of them take out guards on the pier together, Wei Yu handling the lower ones while Kassandra climbs to the top. During this clip, Wei Yu doesn't have a hidden blade, but he uses a knife just as much as Kassandra did with her spear.

The rest of the images show Wei Yu fighting enemies on the docks with a spear, giving us a glimpse of the mobile HUD and the combat. It's not a 1:1 with the Assassin's Creeds RPG, but it's incredibly similar.

Assassin's Creed Jade is one of the big releases in the franchise

The clip was leaked by LolcatP in the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subredditalthough he's not sure if posting the images is allowed.

"I'm not sure I'm allowed to share recordings, so I'll consider it a leak for now," said LolcatP. "It works better than I would have imagined on a Pixel 7, since it's not really made for gaming."

Jade is an open-world RPG set in Ancient China and, although we don't know much about the story, it's safe to assume that we'll end up killing Emperor Qin Shi Huang. That was Wei Yu's legacy in Renaissance Italy, after all.

Assassin's Creed Jade has no release date, but is in closed beta for Android e iOS.
