The method described below no longer works!

Due to the fluctuation of the Turkish currency, the prices of PlayStation Network (PSN) games in Turkey are significantly lower than in other countries. Sony is trying to make it more difficult to create new PSN accounts in Turkey, but by following our step-by-step guide, you can do it.

What you will need

  1. A PlayStation 5 console (not tested on PS4, but it should work).
  2. A specific credit card. Currently, the most practical is the Wise. This is a prepaid card that allows you to deposit via Pix, credit card, debit card or Google Pay, directly in Turkish currency (Turkish Lira).

How to do it:

  1. Register at Wise and send the documentation for approval. This process can take some time.
  2. Once approved, make a deposit of 100 reais into your Wise account via the app. This money will be converted into Turkish Lira and available for use.
  3. Create a Turkish Lira account within the Wise app. You can do this from the app's home page by clicking on "Open" and choosing the currency.
  4. Now it's time to add funds. Click on the account with the Turkish flag, then on the "+" button and "Add". Choose the amount you want to send. You can use your previously deposited balance or choose to deposit directly in Turkish Lira, paying by debit card, credit card, Google Pay, bank transfer or PIX.

That's it! Now you have Turkish Lira to spend.

On PlayStation 5:

  1. Click on "Add a user" and then "Let's get started". Accept the terms and click on "Create an account".
  2. Choose Turkey as the country and use a valid Turkish address. Here's an example you can use:
    • Address: Doğantepe Bucağı Yolu
    • City: Doğantepe
    • State: Amasya
    • Postal code: 05140
    • Country/Region: Turkey
  3. Keep this address safe, as you may be asked for it again.
  4. Finish creating your account. Then, on PSN, click on the three dots and "Payment methods". Click on the card symbol with a "+" to add your Wise credit card.
  5. Enter your card details. In the address field, use the real address on the cardeven if the country appears as Turkey. Otherwise, the transaction will be rejected.
  6. You can now use your Wise card balance on the Turkish PSN!

Please note: It is not possible to subscribe to PSN directly using this method.

To subscribe to PSN, follow these steps:

  1. Download Tuxler VPN (or any VPN that offers a Turkish IP) and connect to a Turkish IP.
  2. Check that you are really connected to a Turkish IP via the website https://whatismyipaddress.com/
  3. Go to the PlayStation Store and log in with your Turkish account.
  4. Under "Payment Management", click on "Add funds". Select the card and the amount corresponding to the value of the subscription.
  5. After loading your wallet, go to the PS5 homepage and sign up for PSN Plus using the "Wallet" payment method.

Now you know how to save over 50% on PSN games and subscriptions!
