Diablo IV - Find out which class is right for you

Diablo IV

With the launch of Diablo IV is getting closer and closer, many players are preparing by planning their builds based on the game's class system.

The betas of Diablo IV gave chances to test some build options before its release, with the last open beta giving the closest view of how the game will actually play at launch.

Taking the information obtained from these betas, it is clear that each class in Diablo IV play very differently from one another, and players will need to carefully assess which class is right for them.

The right Diablo IV class for you

There are a total of five classes that will be available at the launch of Diablo IVBarbarian, Renegade, Mage, Necromancer and Druid. Although having only five classes doesn't seem to give the game much diversity, each one has its own unique skill tree, the branches of which allow for completely unique styles of play, even within the same class.

Barbarian

The Barbarian class has been around since Diablo 2He is the archetype of the powerful physical brute who can take hits and deal damage at close range.

Diablo IV introduces the Loadout system for Barbarians, which gives the class flexibility in being able to switch between a total of four weapons in real time. This system makes the Barbarian great for players who want to experiment with a variety of weapon types without being limited by other classes' equipment restrictions.

As a physically oriented class, the Barbarian in Diablo IV is suitable for heavy melee offensive gameplay or defensive support, depending on the specialization you've chosen. The Berserker specialization makes the Barbarian ideal for maximizing damage output, while the Warlord specialization makes the Barbarian a defensive tank who can protect the rest of the party.

In addition, the Barbarian will generate Fury with every basic attack, allowing players to unleash powerful abilities as soon as they have enough stored up, making the Barbarian the perfect choice for players who want to be the anchor of their party.

Renegade

The Renegade class of Diablo IV combines elements of several classes from previous entries, such as Amazona and Assassin of Diablo 2as well as Demon Hunter from Diablo 3 to fulfill the agile and dexterity-oriented archetype.

In the same way as the Barbarian's Armory system, Renegades can switch between melee and ranged weapons to take advantage of the abilities of both. They also have the ability to imbue skills with elemental effects such as Ice, Poison or Shadow, opening the door to even more building combinations than their base skill tree allows.

Renegade is ideal for Diablo IV who want to play a variety of tricks and traps on their enemies in order to take them down. As well as being very mobile, Renegade can follow one of three specializations to further customize his variety of builds.

Specialization Combo Points allows players to build up to three combo points that can be spent to enhance certain skills. The specialization Exploit Weakness allows players to deal all blows as critical hits with a damage increase of 60%. And, the specialization Shadow Realm allows players to briefly pull enemies into the Shadow Realm. Where the player wins Stealthed, Unstoppableand causes 50% more damage.

Wizard

The Magi in Diablo IV fulfill the classic archetype of magic and act as glass cannons for players who want to go on the attack with limited defense.

Each of the elemental spells the Wizard can cast comes with its own side effects. Like various casts of cold spells leaving the enemy frozen and unable to move for a period of time. Or, inflicting Burn on enemies through fire spells that inflict damage over time.

In addition, Mage is great for players who want to experiment with deeper build types due to its unique Enchantment mechanic. This allows players to place certain skills in one of three bonus slots, removing the active use of the skill but granting a passive bonus.

Necromancer

Necromancers are iconic to the series Diablo for their ability to raise armies of undead to fight alongside them. With a variety of different play styles, depending on which minions are summoned.

There are three types of minion that the Necromancers of Diablo IV can summon: Skeletal Warriors, Skeletal Mages and Golems. Each with its own set of variants that can be customized using the Book of the Necromancer from the Mechanics of the Dead. This class not only offers a diverse range of play styles. But, it can be perfect for solo players looking to bolster their ranks with minions.

In addition to accessing class-specific Scythe weapons, Necromancers in Diablo IV can fall into one of four different playing styles. How Bone which uses skills of this type to create spacing on the battlefield. Darkness to inflict damage on enemies over time. Blood which allows players to restore their own health by draining enemies. E, The Armywhich manages the Necromancer's minions and can be integrated with any of the other game styles.

Druid

The Druid class in Diablo IV is a master of nature, using Earth and Storm magic. As well as the ability to shape-shift into different animal forms. Giving players a mix of magic and melee combat options. This flexibility makes Druids suitable for a variety of group roles, including tank dealer and damage.

In addition, Druids fight alongside two wolf companions and can confront animal spirits to gain benefits from them. Druids are also able to cast Vulnerable on enemies. Causing them to take an additional 30% damage from attacks and making the Druid a fantastic option for general party support.

Diablo IV will be launched on June 6th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
