Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. has announced that DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO, the first release in the DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI series in 15 years, will be released worldwide on October 11, 2024.
Digital and physical pre-orders are now available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X and PC via Steam® in Standard, Deluxe and Digital Ultimate Edition versions. Players who get the game during the pre-order will receive early access to various characters such as Broly (Super Saiyajin), Gogeta (Super Saiyajin), among others.
The new trailer presented at the Summer Game Fest live stream revealed the Episode Battle and Custom Battle game modes, presenting an authentic and visually impressive continuation of the BUDOKAI TENKAICHI series. Episode Battle will allow players to choose one of eight characters and relive the main battles of the Dragon Ball saga.
Custom Battle allows players to have a new experience of Dragon Ball as a game, in which they can try out a match imagined by the developers or create their own battle conditions and share them with the world.
The new trailer also reveals new additions to the roster of playable characters, including Goku (Super Saiyajin) Ultra Instinct, Gohan (Adult) Super Saiyajin 2, Golden Freeza, Bardock, Raditz, Goku Black, Zamasu, as well as Jiren, Total Power.
DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO is available in Standard, Deluxe, Premium Collector Edition and Digital Ultimate versions, with more details below:
- The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the Standard Edition, 3 days' early access to the game, as well as the Season Pass, which contains more than 20 characters, including characters from DRAGON BALL SUPER: SUPER HERO and DRAGON BALL DAIMA, as well as the Shenlong Summon, which can unlock items. Early access to the DLC characters is also included.
- The Digital Ultimate Edition contains the contents of the Deluxe Edition, as well as the Ultimate Upgrade Pack, which includes the Goku (Super Saiyajin) costume with Power Pole, an Emote Voice Set, 1 customization item and 2 player card backgrounds. This edition also includes the possibility of performing a Shenlong Super Summon to unlock items or characters.
All pre-orders unlock early access to the following characters available in the game: Gogeta, Gogeta (Super Saiyajin), Gogeta (Super Saiyajin God Super Saiyajin), Broly, Broly (Super Saiyajin) and Broly (Super Saiyajin), Total Power. In addition, a playable character is included that will be revealed at a later date.
