From October 26, 2023, Embark Studios will begin the first multiplatform open beta of THE FINALSThis is a free-to-play, team-based shooter that pushes environmental dynamism, destruction and player freedom to the limit. The test will take place on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Steam and ends on November 5th.
THE FINALS is the ultimate combat entertainment game show, in which you and your team fight for fame, wealth and the favor of generous seasonal sponsors, in hyper-realistic and completely destructible virtual arenas inspired by iconic real-world locations.
The open beta features the new Skyway Stadium arena in the map rotation, along with a brand new game mode - Bank-It. It also includes a free Battle Pass with 16 permanent and exclusive rewards that players can unlock and keep until launch. The beta version also features cross-play and cross-progression between PC and consoles.
The aim of the open beta is to validate improvements and changes made in previous tests on PC, to test the game server and the infrastructure of back-end at scale, ensure that the team is able to quickly fix and update the game on all platforms, and get feedback on the experience on consoles and in the gamepad.

Here's what to expect from the open beta:
- Iconic arenas
- *NEW* Skyway Stadium - Experience the ever-changing Skyway Stadium, where players can test their limits on this treacherous playground.
- Monaco - Play through the cobbled streets of Monaco, making it a perfect map for destruction and close combat.
- Seoul - Fight at the top of skyscrapers in the center of Seoul with fast, vertical gameplay. Be careful to watch where you step so you don't fall.
- New and updated game modes
- *NEW* Bank-It - Four teams of three fight for coins in this casual, combat-focused mode. The team that reaches the maximum limit first, or the team with the most money accumulated at the end of the round, wins.
- Unranked Tournament - A loot mode in which four teams of three compete to find boxes and deposit them in safes, in an unranked tournament format with three rounds and 24 players in total.
- Ranked Tournament - A loot mode with four teams of three in a ranked tournament format with four rounds and 48 players in total.
- Quick Cash - A casual variant of the 3v3v3 loot mode. This mode has longer matches, timers of respawn faster extraction times and only one safe at a time.
- Practice Range - A place for competitors to test weapons, devices, movement - and, of course, destruction.
- Challenger progression
- The Battle Pass of the free open beta will include 16 exclusive rewards which, if unlocked, will be transferred to the full game at launch.
- Item progression will include 5 levels of mastery per weapon.
- League progression
- Five leagues (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond) will include permanent rewards for each level, along with an exclusive Diamond Legendary Weapon Skin reward for competitors who reach Diamond level.
- Much more content
- The open beta will feature 20 weapons, 26 gadgets and 9 skills for competitors to choose from, as well as improvements to performance, movement, team play and much more.
