Enshrouded is the game of the moment in the survival crafting genre, but as an early access title, its multiplatform availability is not as robust as some of the more established games in the genre.
Released on January 24th, Enshrouded offers an open-world fantasy setting with a robust variety of dungeons, equipment, quests and much more to flesh out the adventure. Although the survival game Palworld is currently dominating the charts, it wasn't long before the release of Enshrouded on Steam conquered a niche that propelled it to over a million players in less than a week after its launch.
It's not uncommon for early access titles to prioritize a release in the SteamThe PC client helped popularize the idea of games being released in an unfinished state in order to gain an advantage in sales and collect feedback from the community for continued development. Although it has become more common in recent years to see the same strategy employed on consoles, it's not always so easy to deal with.
Is it possible to play Enshrouded on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series?
Enshrouded is currently only available on PC, but it doesn't look like that will always be the case. According to the FAQ page on the official EnshroudedThe game will arrive on Xbox Series X/S e PlayStation 5 "upon completion", which is both good and bad news for console gamers.
It's good to see some concrete intention to make the game available on all platforms, but if it doesn't make the transition until after it leaves early access, it's likely to be a while before it appears anywhere other than the Steam.
