The Brazilian Rafael Grassetti, known for being the Art Director of Santa Monica Studio, and of God of War Ragnarok, being responsible for the design we know today of Kratos and Atreus, says goodbye this Friday (19) to Sony.

The artist posted on his official Twitter profile a thank you for his years at the company and the support of family members and coworkers, such as Cory Barlog - director of God of War (2018) - Eric Williams, director of God of War Ragnarok (2022) and other colleagues.

See below the thread published by Rafa Grassetti on his official twitter account:

Rafael Grassetti leaves Santa Monica Studio, the studio behind Sony's God of War Ragnarok

Before joining Santa Monica Studio, Rafael Grassetti had already worked on other important games, such as the Mass Effect franchise, Dragon Age, inFamous, The Order 1886, Killzone, and more.

He has also done some artwork for comics such as DC, Marvel and Image Comics.

The loss of the artist to Santa Monica Studio is undoubtedly very great, but with only a few days to go until the PlayStation Showcase, which takes place on Wednesday (24), and the artist's departure, it may indicate that his task in the studio's next game has already been completed.

In other words, we can expect good news about Santa Monica Studio's new IP for the PlayStation 5 may be closer than we think.
