In 2023, thousands of players around the world were won over by a legacy that has been alive for more than 20 years, with Hogwarts Legacy. However, the lack of Quidditch in the game saddened some, and Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has arrived to meet this demand.

As soon as it was announced, the game began to get mixed reviews, due to its aesthetics and the fact that it was an additional game, unrelated to Hogwarts LegacyBut he's shown what he's here for and he might surprise you.

Check out our review of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions below, which was only possible with a key sent by Warner Games Brazil.

Quidditch Champions is a new gaming model for the Harry Potter franchise

I could be wrong, but this is the first time we've seen a game from the franchise Harry Potter other than the traditional model of single player games.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has its main focus on multiplayer mode, where you play matches, earn xp through daily and weekly matches and challenges to unlock rewards, unlock skill points to improve your character and more.

But calm down, Warner has made one thing clear and we've checked it out: No microtransactions!

A career mode is present in the game

Despite being a game focused on multiplayer, as mentioned above, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions also has a career mode.

In this mode, you'll progress through different cups, from the Backyard Cup at the Weasleys' Den to the Quidditch World Cup. It's also possible to play this mode cooperatively with up to 3 friends.

The customization of Quidditch Champions is exciting for fans

Anyone who's a fan of the franchise will simply be thrilled with the customization the game offers. As well as being able to play with the franchise's iconic characters, you can also create your own player.

You have to create a player for each position: Scorer, Catcher, Goalkeeper and Batsman. Each one can have a different look, have different brooms to ensure different styles and can - and should - use different skills.

In other words, your team can be built around your personality, with the look you want, the clothes you want and more.

How does the gameplay work?

At first, it's a bit confusing to learn how to play, after all, it ends up teaching you each of the positions in a long tutorial. When you start a match, you can choose whether you want to go for a specific position or a random one - choosing random makes it easier to find matches.

By doing this, you must have a primary and a secondary position in matches. You can't play the role of another character, as is done in Rocket League for example.

You need to be specifically linked to the role to play as one. A Gunner won't be able to defend a goal, not least because the way the positions are played are completely different, even changing the controls.

Is it worth playing Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions?

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has a lot of depth in its mechanics. As we mentioned above, it has a lot of customization, a very original method of how each function works in matches, not to mention the beautiful and original maps.

We must also mention the quality of the dubbing in the game, both of the characters and the narrators. All the voices in the game are the same as in the movies, bringing back that nostalgia.

Many familiar scenes return in Quidditch championsAnd others are also introduced, such as Durmstrang, which we don't get to see in the movies.

It's worth noting that not everything is as faithful as in the films and books, using the golden pommel as an example, which is worth only 30 points, as opposed to the usual 150.
