The long-awaited sequel to the acclaimed metroidvania "Hollow Knight: Silksong", developed by Team Cherry, has been given an age rating in South Korea, increasing speculation about an imminent announcement of the game's release date. As noted by a ResetIn February, the game was classified as suitable for players aged 12 and over.

The discovery came to light after Microsoft launched a page on the Xbox store for "Hollow Knight: Silksong", allowing players to add the game to their wish list. Sarah Bond, president of Xbox, announced the news on social media, reiterating that the title will be available on Xbox Game Pass from the first day of release.

Announced in February 2019, "Hollow Knight: Silksong" is scheduled for release on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. However, in May last year, Team Cherry announced a postponement of the release, initially scheduled for the first half of 2023, to an as yet unspecified release window.

According to the developers, "Silksong" will feature a completely new kingdom, more than 150 different types of enemies and a "Silk Soul" mode, an unprecedented difficulty setting that significantly alters the game after the first playthrough. Players will control Hornet, the "princess-protector of Hallownest", on an adventure through a kingdom "ruled by silk and song".

Captured and brought to this unknown world, Hornet must face enemies and unravel mysteries as she ascends on a perilous pilgrimage to the peak of the kingdom. "As the lethal hunter Hornet, travel through uncharted lands, discover new powers, battle vast hordes of insects and beasts and uncover ancient secrets linked to your nature and your past," describes the game's official synopsis.

The age rating in South Korean territory and the recent visibility given to the page on the Xbox store suggest that more details about the release date of "Hollow Knight: Silksong" may be revealed soon, increasing the anticipation of fans eager for the Hornet's new journey.
