This Monday (18th) the Valve has announced a major change to the family game sharing system in the Steam. Now you can share your games with up to five other members of your family.
It is worth remembering that, according to SteamIn order to activate the function, these family members must live in the same household, but so far there have been no cases of players from different locations being unable to activate the function.

How did it work before the update?
It used to be possible to share games with more than one family member/friend in the SteamBut there were some restrictions. Firstly, in order to share the games, the other player would need to enter your e-mail address and password on their computer.
This would cause the system to recognize access to the credentials and then display your games in its library. And if you were in a game and he also wanted to use something from your library, the Steam I wouldn't allow it.
If he was playing before you, after you opened a game he would be kicked out of the game within a few minutes.
Changes to Steam's family sharing
Now, sharing your games on Steam will work in a different and much more practical way. You can invite up to five other people to share the game, without having to give them your e-mail address or password. Simply add them to Steam.
Once everyone is in the same family, all players will see each other's games in the library in a tab called "Steam Family". The six players in total will be able to play different games at the same time, but they won't be able to use the same game. If you want to use the same game, you'll need to have more than one copy.
It's also worth noting that you'll now have your own saved games, earn your own achievements and have access to the workshop Steam and more, just like a game you've purchased.
How to share your games on Steam with friends and family
First of all, you'll need to enter the game sharing beta system. To do this, click on Steam in the top left corner of the launcher, go to settings and click on "Interface". In the "Participation in the Steam client beta" change from "No Beta Selected" to "Steam Families Beta.
After your launcher restarts and updates, click on your name in the top right-hand corner of the screen and click on "Store Preferences".
After the page loads, click on "Family management". In this tab you can create a family, give it a name and send invitations to your friends and family. Once your friends and family have accepted the invitations, the games will appear in your library in the "Steam Family".
It is worth remembering that Steam makes it clear that this function should be used for users who live in the same household, but so far there is no blocking for users from different locations. But be warned that you should use it at your own risk.
