Modern Warfare 3 is just a DLC for Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

The game code Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 which was found in the PlayStation suggests that this year's title is nothing more than a DLC of MW2.

In collaboration with PlayStationSize on Twitter, the Insider Gaming scoured the code of Call of Duty this year. Call of Duty has always faced criticism for being the same product every year. And while there's no denying that it's a winning formula, this year's title is a little different from the rest.

What's particularly interesting this year is that the content of Modern Warfare 3 will come by way of complements to MW2.

COD Modern Warfare 3 is just a DLC for MW2

Furthermore, it seems that the BETA codes for MW3 use the same concept ID as MW2. In other words, it means that it's basically last year's game codes, newly reissued. Finally, the code also seems to suggest that MW2 will change to a Call of Duty Hub, which will display MW2, MW3 e Warzone in a menu.

Of course, if you've been following the news from this year's edition, the news may not come as a surprise. What's more, it has now been officially confirmed that this year's title will feature Carry Forward such as weapons, skins and progression from last year's game. Rumors are that MW3 will cost US $ 70, which is R$ 350.00 in Brazil. And while that's an industry-wide acceptable price for a AAA game today, if the game is just DLC, it won't be received in the same way.

In a nutshell, MW3 is set to be unveiled at an event within the Warzone on August 17th. Also, click here and listen to Save State Podcast in Spotify!
