Modern Warfare 3 will have remastered maps from MW2

Modern Warfare 3 will have maps from Modern Warfare 2

According to a leaker from Call of Duty on Twitter, it was stated that each launch map of Modern Warfare 3 (2023) will be a remastered map of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009).

This is a big claim, but it's an exciting one, since after more than a decade, many fans of Call of Duty still consider the majority of MW2 as the greatest of all time.

See the leaker's tweet below:

Modern Warfare 3 maps will be remasters of MW2

It's not the first time we've had remastered maps in the franchise Call of DutyAnd it absolutely won't be the last time. It's a milestone for the series now, with old maps making an appearance in a shiny, polished format with each new release.

However, this would certainly be the first time that a game of Call of Duty would be released with an entire map set that was completely unoriginal.

This claim comes from the user 'el_bobberto' on Twitter, which is allegedly leaking numerous details of Modern Warfare 3. In the last few hours, he has made statements about the maps, TTK, some of the movement and versatility functions and much more.

So, if MW3 includes all the launch maps for Modern Warfare 2This means that we can see these maps returning:

  • Afghan
  • Derail
  • Estate
  • Favela
  • Highrise
  • Invasion
  • Karachi
  • Quarry
  • Rundown
  • Rust
  • Scrapyard
  • Skidrow
  • Sub Base
  • Terminal
  • Underpass
  • Wasteland

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 arrives on November 10 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC.
