Everyone has dreamed of one day being a character like Batman, Spiderman and others; or even being in a prestigious profession like a policeman, fireman or even an astronaut. Now, if there's one thing that must surely be fun, it's driving a Monster Truck.

Monster Jam Showdown arrives to satisfy our inner child who will never stop having this crazy idea: To be an official pilot of the Monster Jam.

Vehicle loyalty is present in Monster Jam Showdown

Just as other sports games need to value real players, clubs and stadiums, Monster Jam Showdown I couldn't leave out the competition's fan favorites.

Here we find beloved cars like Megalodon, Zombie, El Toro Loco, Max-D and even some legendary cars like the Grave Digger The Legendthe iconic Ford Panel from 1951.

There are more than 30 cars included in the base game and more than 20 that will be added via DLC. In total, we'll see 66 Monster Trucks added to the game, from the latest vehicles to those that have already made history in the competition, allowing you to unlock the cars as well as alternative visuals.

Also made for racing game lovers

O Monster Jam is not a traditional car competition, as it's not a race, but rather a stunt or 1×1 competition. However, Monster Jam Showdown adds an Off-Road Racing mode, so enthusiasts of the genre will feel right at home.

You'll be able to drive around off-road tracks, perform insane jumps and even demolish your opponents using your truck's turbo, which is exclusive to this mode.

Monster Jam Showdown's campaign mode is shallow but brings diversification

It also has a multiplayer mode, Monster Jam Showdown has the so-called "Showdown Tour", a mode where you find yourself divided into three regions of the United States, where you will see some events taking place.

There are more than 100 events in total, which are divided into different game modes, mixing off-road racing, stunts and 1×1. By completing a number of events in the region, a "Showdown" race will be released to unlock a new vehicle.

Is Monster Jam Showdown worth playing?

Monster Jam Showdown is a fun game, but extremely shallow and perhaps costs a little more than it should. Of course, prices are very relative these days, especially when it comes to a game that needs a few licenses to exist.

But overall, as I said before, it's a fun game. It works as a good pastime, to distract you for an hour or two until you get back to what you were doing.

There will be a good number of races waiting for you, as well as several cars to unlock, and an online and local cooperative multiplayer mode to challenge your opponents, whether unknown or known.

Just remember, it's a game that gets repetitive very quickly, and if you have problems with that, it's best not to get too carried away.

Monster Jam Showdown arrives on August 29th for PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch e Xbox Series.
