Just over a month to go until the launch of Mortal Kombat 1and information is starting to emerge all over the place. Most recently, a Brazilian Redditor used the platform to reveal what is supposedly a photo of the back of the game's physical media.
In this case, we see something called "Invasions"with the following text below:
"Travel through the realms of Mortal Kombat facing the invasions of each season in a new 1-player experience"
What could Mortal Kombat 1's invasion mode be?
It's been said for a while, predominantly by Ed Boonwhich Mortal Kombat 1 will not have battle passes, with the NetherRealm moving away from the live service model.
However, the 'Invasions' mode supposedly leaked from the back of the game box clearly indicates a seasonal operating model for the mode. Of course, this doesn't confirm battle passes or season passes, but where there are seasons...
This mode should offer more gameplay for fans, and means that there is a lot of content planned for the post-launch, as well as new fighters. However, on social media, users have compared this potential new mode to something like World of Light of Smash Bros.
In short, that's what we know about the mode so far. Finally, Mortal Kombat 1 arrives on September 14th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S e Nintendo Switch.
