New closed beta for THE FINALS starts this Wednesday

The Finals

Starting June 14, Embark Studios will begin the second Closed Beta test for THE FINALS, a free-to-play team shooter that pushes dynamism, scenario destruction and player freedom to the limit. The Closed Beta test will last about a week, and will end on June 21.

To get the chance to play THE FINALS before the official release, sign up for the playtest on Steam.

"This test is very similar to the previous beta we ran in March," said Jonathan Lindsay, executive producer of THE FINALS. "Most of the changes we made for this closed beta were 'behind the scenes' and based on the feedback we got in the last testing period, such as improvements to performance, movement, gunplay and more."

What's new in the new closed beta of The Finals

There is also new content, such as new weapons for all classes, cosmetics and a new progression system that gives players more control over what they can unlock while playing.

Above all, this test also introduces some important changes to the game modes, with a more casual version of Quickplay in the 3v3v3 format. This updated mode, called Quick Cash, has longer matches, shorter respawn and extraction times, and only one vault at a time.
