During the Xbox Broadcast at gamescom 2024, the SQUARE ENIX has released an exclusive video showing more of the powers that drive Max's investigation into the mystery of the supernatural murder that moves LIFE IS STRANGE: DOUBLE EXPOSURE.
In addition to exploiting Max Caulfield's newly developed power to switch between two parallel timelines, the deep dive also focused on his new skill, Pulse.
Pulse allows Max to catch a glimpse of the opposite timeline before changing, as the danger is not limited to just one timeline. With the PulseMax can also hear conversations taking place on the other side, which makes it the perfect supernatural tool for an amateur detective.
Max will need to use both aspects of his new power to solve the impossible murder of his friend Safi. As Max switches between two increasingly different timelines, his power allows the player to complete unique puzzles, navigate the complex social dynamics of the campus and explore all the mysteries Caledon University has to offer.
LIFE IS STRANGE: DOUBLE EXPOSURE will be released on Xbox Series X|S consoles, PlayStation 5® and PC via Steam and Windows Store on October 29, 2024. It will also arrive on the Nintendo Switch at a later date.
