The team that developed Xbox Series X/S, the current Microsoftis not building the new Xboxaccording to Nick Baker. Also known as Shpeshal_Nick, of XboxEra Podcast, Nick Baker claims that Jason Ronald will not be responsible for developing the next Xbox device. Ronaldwho led the development of the Xbox Series X/S, and his team are being replaced by the Microsoft Surface team.

"I heard it would be the Surface team," he said. "That's why I freaked out when I heard Mag mention Jason Ronald not leading the next Xbox because I heard the exact same thing."

It remains to be seen whether this next device is a full console or a portable device. That said, with the Surface leading the way, this may suggest that the next big launch of the Microsoft on the Xbox dive into the portable games market.

This week Microsoft is planning an event that will detail more about the future of the Xbox ecosystem. Much of this is due to rumors that the company's games will be available on other consoles, such as PlayStation and Nintendo.
