PlayStation 5 exclusive set in London coming to PC on day one

The youtube channel PlayStation is making a huge effort in live-service for the next few years of the games industry. Among the studios working on live-service titles, the PlayStation London Studio announced a new game that would be exclusive to PlayStation 5 in 2022.

Although not much is known about the title, the developer has confirmed a fantasy London setting with a focus on cooperative gameplay. However, a new job listing reveals more details about the gameplay mechanics. And, it suggests a Day One release for the game on the PC platform.

We saw that PlayStation London Studio is hiring a Senior/Principal Combat Designer. As seen below, the listing points to a "well-balanced cast of heroes."

This could mean that the PlayStation London Studio is taking inspiration from games like Overwatch. These games have a defined roster of characters with different skills. Allowing players to utilize their strengths and work around their weaknesses.

As the game has a huge focus on live-service, the developer will probably update this list with new additions after launch. In addition, the experience required for the position also reveals that the developer will probably release the game on the PC at launch.

The job list asks "Experience in offering combat resources on a large scale, preferably in the PC and on the Console."

The games market for PC has proved fruitful for the gaming giant in recent years. Thus, the PlayStation has released several ports of older games, and a recent report suggests that even more ports are planned in the coming years.

What's more, Herman Hulst has already discussed day-one launches for live service games in the PC. And recent games such as Fairgame$ e Helldivers 2have been announced for PC during the PlayStation Showcase. Therefore, it seems that this approach will apply to almost all live-service games of PlayStation 5.
