O PlayStation Plus Extra has hundreds of PS5 and PS4 games, many of which require a heavy investment of time to fully appreciate.

The games Assassin's Creed, Marvel's Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn, Death's Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, Returnal, Demon's Souls and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade are fantastic, but they're massive adventures with campaigns that last more than 20 hours at least. Sometimes a more concise game is the way to go.

5 short games available on PlayStation Plus

When a subscription is about to end and renewal is not in the plans, a quick experience that can be completed in one go is usually the best option.

And while the best short games on PS Plus Extra may not offer quantity, they definitely deliver quality. Here are 5 short games to play on PlayStation Plus Extra e Deluxe:

Stray

Stray's main storyline barely clocks in at under 5 hours, although a playthrough can last longer depending on whether players take their time exploring this sci-fi world. As the title suggests, BlueTwelve's game stars a relatively ordinary street cat for a video game protagonist.

The Artful Escape

The Artful Escape is a character-based platformer that guides its protagonist on a fantastic adventure that isn't limited by space. Francis lives in the shadow of his uncle's musical brilliance, and he's really feeling the pressure as he prepares to perform at a festival dedicated to his relative's most beloved album.

The night before the event, Francis is visited by an alien and taken to another realm, setting him off on a bizarre and extravagant journey of self-discovery.

Little Nightmares

Little Nightmares is a puzzle platformer that lives up to its title. In it, players control Six, a seemingly helpless young girl trapped in the horrifying Maw, a place that caters to society's most twisted entities.

So, divided into five stages that revolve around a different location and central antagonist, Little Nightmares balances puzzles, platforming and even stealth to create a campaign without a dull or repetitive moment.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

Ubisoft games are known for their massive worlds and long campaigns. However, exceptions do exist, and if Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is anything to go by, they should be more frequent.

A spin-off from Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon combines the solid first-person shooter gameplay of the main game with an over-the-top narrative ripped straight from 80s action movies.

Inside

Inside is one of the greatest games of the 2010s. Well, time has done nothing to change that perspective.

Set in a sci-fi horror world, this surreal masterpiece largely resists the desire to convey its narrative or themes to players, encouraging them to come to their own conclusions.

Finally, all the games are available on PlayStation Plus for PlayStation 4 and PlayStastion 5.
