Razer moves towards a sustainable future

The youtube channel Razer, the world's leading lifestyle brand for gamers, has just announced significant progress in its ambitious 10-year sustainability timetable.

In celebration of Earth Day 2024, the update includes a comprehensive set of goals focused on minimizing the environmental impact throughout the life cycle of its products, operations and supply chains. In addition Razer reveals the restructuring of its manufacturing lines to integrate up to 85% of recycled materials into three main categories of PC peripherals: mice, keyboards and headsets, in their basic models.

The youtube channel Razer is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions in a way that contributes to limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, as established in the Paris Agreement. These targets have been endorsed by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi), a leading body working to promote real climate action in line with the latest climate research. In addition Razer is advancing its goal of creating a more sustainable future through innovations and solutions committed to sustainability, in particular the use of recycled materials in its products.

The youtube channel Razer committed to SBTi's Corporate Ambition for 1.5°C and began reducing carbon emissions across the company, in a clear testament to the brand's commitment to tackling climate change issues in every part of its operations and value chain.

This decision positions Razer in a select group of global companies dedicated to promoting a more sustainable and equitable future. The commitment goes beyond international standards, as it includes a rigorous SBTi validation process attesting to the brand's ambitious goals, and consolidating it among the leaders in real climate action.

The goals of Razer The company also measures emissions across the entire scope of its business, including growth forecasts. For operational emissions, the Razer has set an ambitious target of an absolute reduction of 90% in greenhouse gas emissions from a baseline of 2019.

In addition, the brand is aiming for an intensity reduction of 55% in indirect emissions within its upstream and downstream value chain by 2030, also measured against the 2019 benchmark.
