Rockstar Games, recognized for its innovation in the gaming industry, reaffirms its release strategy with the announcement of "Grand Theft Auto VI" (GTA VI): initially, the game will be released only for PlayStation® 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025. The information was confirmed by the Business Wire.

This pattern is nothing new for Rockstar fans, as it follows the trend already seen in previous titles such as "Red Dead Redemption 2" and "GTA V", which were also initially exclusive to consoles.

Rockstar founder Sam Houser points out that "GTA VI" is a milestone in the series, promising a highly immersive, narrative-centered open-world experience. Set in the fictional state of Leonida, which includes the iconic Vice City, the game promises to be the most significant evolution in the series.

Initial exclusivity for consoles has been a common approach for Rockstar, which seeks to make the most of the advanced hardware resources of the latest generation consoles. This strategy also generates anticipation and growing demand for an eventual PC version, something that the gaming community is already anticipating, based on the company's previous releases.
