Sony shows off PS5 Pro in commemorative image

playstation 30 years

Sony Interactive Entertainment is celebrating 30 years of PlayStation, marking the launch of the first console in Japan in December 1994. To commemorate this historic milestone, the company has launched a commemorative logo that is being widely publicized in the social networks and announced several special initiatives that will be unveiled in the coming months, including a unique Gran Turismo experience.

However, the new logo is generating discussion among fans. Following its release on official platforms, such as the PlayStation blog, some gamers noticed the presence of an unseen product design in the logo: a version of the PlayStation 5 with three side stripes on the casing. This detail, similar to the design of the supposed PS5 Pro previously leaked by Dealabs, suggests a possible early unveiling of the new console.

The design shown places this supposed PS5 Pro above a DualSense controller and next to a second PS5 model, and the design of the console is very similar to the recently leaked image which is more compact and has a separate lid.

With this, Sony may have given a subtle hint of the PS5 Pro's existence before its official unveiling, which is due to take place on September 10th.

My favorite games are visual novels.
