With less than a month to go until its release, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has started its marketing campaign, and a lot of things that we haven't seen for a long time are popping up on the internet.
At the last State of Play, Sony released a video with a lot of new gameplays, and many influencers also had access to it, generating a huge amount of content. And if there's one thing that was really cool about the first game that comes back in the second, it's the costumes.
It has been confirmed that there will be at least sixty-five unique outfits in the game, and in this second chapter, a customization system will be introduced that allows you to access up to 200 totally unique looks. With this in mind, we decided to create a list of the game's well-known costumes. Check them out:
Advanced Suite 2.0
We couldn't start with a costume other than the main one in the game, could we? At least Peter Parker's main suit. Created to improve the old suit, using some ideas from Otto Octavius, the Advanced Suit has undergone some changes compared to the first game. Some of the tones on the suit have been slightly altered, the white part on the cuff has been made slightly larger and we can also see some small changes to the lens.
Miles' costume updated
This time, we'll have a game with two protagonists, and we can't stop talking about Miles Morales. His costume has always impressed with its textures, and now he has some upgrades, apparently smaller than Peter's. One visible upgrade is the presence of "wings", which allow us to glide around the city. Symbiont
One of the biggest focuses in the trailers (and it couldn't be otherwise) was Venom, but everyone knows what happens before he even exists, don't they? The Symbiote suit worn by Peter grants him new abilities and changes his form as the game progresses. From a more "ordinary" black suit to a more monstrous one.
Tobey's trilogy black suit
And while we're on the subject of the Symbiote, one of the most beloved costumes from the Tobey Maguire trilogy is his black suit. Not included in the first game, now, for obvious reasons, we'll finally be able to explore Manhattan wearing this incredible costume.
Sportswear
Returning to Miles, some of the outfits from his spin-off return to the game, one of which is the sports outfit. In my opinion, one of the coolest outfits in the game. For those who don't remember, we faced Rhino in this outfit, which is basically Peter's classic outfit, with a jacket and hood over it.
S.P.O.R.T. costume
And along these more sporty lines, we also have the return of the S.P.O.R.T. suit, which combines the characteristic black of Miles' suit with a lot of white. A very good mix, by the way.
ArachKnight
A costume that was presented to us in 2018 at Infinity Warps, a Marvel comic book event. A while ago we had the Moon Knight series and you may have noticed a similarity here. Well, that's because it's actually a combination of the two heroes' costumes.
Terra 3232
Another very interesting suit is the Earth 3232 suit, which is obviously the suit worn by Peter on Earth 3232. Also called the Spider-Falcon, we've seen the suit in action in recent trailers, and a very cool detail is that its wing allows us to glide, at least in this suit.
Miles Morales 2099
Another costume that was present in the previous game, Miles Morales is inspired by the Spider from Earth 2099, the famous Miguel O'Hara. And well, those who enjoyed the costume in the previous game will have the chance to try it on again.
Purple Sovereignty Costume
Another one of those from the other game, the Purple Sovereignty costume was made by Aaron Davis, based on the Gatuno costume. Not surprisingly, we unlocked the costume by completing the villain's series of side missions.
Stolen Costume
After a long hiatus, Ben Riley decided to return to action as the Scarlet Spider. However, he didn't have a costume, so he stole it from a cosplayer, hence the name of the costume.
Superior
A fan favorite in the comics, the Superior Suit was developed by Otto Octavius when he was in possession of Peter Parker's body and mind. And I must admit, I understand why it's so beloved.
Space suit
The name itself is self-explanatory, isn't it? The costume was worn by Miles Morales from Earth 19529, and is part of the comic book Life Story!
Family Business
There will be two versions of the Iron Spider suit, one for Aaron Davis and one for Miles Morales.
Spider-Man 2099
Just as Miles will have his own version of Miguel O'Hara's costume, Peter will once again have a 2099 costume, but this time in a version with the Symbiote.
10 year anniversary
I believe Miles Morales has been around for more than 10 years? And to think that a character like this needed so little time to be loved... And well, to commemorate this milestone, a costume has been created, and this costume will be present in the game.
Shadow Spider
This costume was worn by Miles Morales on an occasion when he was brainwashed into thinking he was Lone Wolf.
Spider-Noir
The Noir costume has been a hit for a long time because of its originality in relation to everything else that exists in terms of costumes. However, after the release of Spider-Verse, it exploded even more, with a series in development on Amazon. And well, it's one of the costumes we'll have access to in the game.
Deluxe Edition Costumes
The costumes featured in the deluxe edition are completely original, and it has even been announced that one of them was modeled by Bend Studios, responsible for Days Gone. Will we see more partnerships like this?
