Stalker 2 postponed again

In a new video entitled "Really, again?", developer GSC Game World has announced that Stalker 2 will be released on November 20 instead of September 5, as previously planned.

"We know you must be tired of waiting, and we thank you for your patience," said the studio. "These additional two months will give us the chance to fix more 'unexpected anomalies' (or simply 'bugs', as you call them)."

"S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is turning out to be everything we imagined, with the launch very close, and we're incredibly excited to share more with you."

"To give you a taste of what's to come, we're excited to announce the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Developer Deep Dive video, which will be released on Xbox media channels on August 12."

"This detailed update will include exclusive interviews, many new sequences, and a full video of one of the game's missions. We can't wait for you to see it and get a comprehensive understanding of how the game looks graphically and how it runs."

The exact release of Stalker 2 has been in doubt since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. At the time, GSC Game World was in Kiev, but since then it has been partially relocated to Chechnya.

Stalker 2 will be released for Xbox Series X/S and PC and will be available on Game Pass on launch day.
