It's undeniable that year after year the franchise Star Wars have been growing even more, not only in the film industry but also in the games industry. While we've seen great series like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mandalorian e Ahsokawe have also seen films such as Rise of Skywalker, Rogue One and more.

When it comes to games, Star Wars has been very present in recent years, with games such as Star Wars: Squadrons, LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the future Star Wars: Outlaws and much more.

Here's a brief review of Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collectionthe return of the original Battlefront games to modern video games.

Classic games have arrived on modern consoles

I'll make it clear in advance that the great thing about Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is that you can play it on a modern console without too many worries. Just start it up, choose the game from a hub and voilà!

The Collection allows you to play both games in the franchise Battlefront both offline and online, and in addition to the base games there are also some bonus maps with Jabba's Palace and many others.

Intense multiplayer

Despite some limitations of the time, Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection offers intense multiplayer, where in this version you can play with up to 64 players in the same section.

You'll be able to pilot legendary ships from the Star Wars franchise, such as the X-Wing, drive iconic vehicles like the Speeder Bikes and, of course, battle on the ground

It's now also possible to play Hero Assault mode on any of the ground maps, such as the Death Star, Naboo, Kashyyyk and Kamino. This way, you'll be able to control characters like Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and others.

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is old-fashioned for 2024

If you're a big fan of the franchise, you'll certainly love the context of the campaign in both games. After all, you'll experience iconic battles between The Phantom Menace and Return of the Jedi.

If you're not a big fan, this might not be the best choice for you. Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection has some nice content and touches the hearts of fans, but it's an old-fashioned game for today.

There are no significant improvements to its visuals, and the gameplay also falls far short of many of the games we're currently playing. Of course, this is a port, and we should consider that.

However, when you charge R$ 187.90 (PSN price) for a Collection like this, you're certainly taking a big risk. By way of comparison, it's just under the price of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, a competent game that brought the franchise back in its own right.

So, if there's one thing I can do for you, it's not recommend the game. Fans or nostalgic gamers are sure to love the experience. However, if you're a gamer looking for a third-person shooter to play offline or online, this is definitely not a good option.

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series e Nintendo Switch.
