Starfield will have New Game+ at launch

Starfield coming to PlayStation

The youtube channel Bethesda has announced that its next RPG Starfield you'll have around a thousand planets to explore, using generative content to build these giant worlds. If you're playing casually, it's likely that you'll never fully explore a fraction of that.

But there are also players who are ready to try everything that Starfield has to offer in its potentially hundreds of hours of gameplay. And once that's been exhausted, they'll be ready to start again.

New Game Plus is a feature usually included in RPGs, which allows you to restart the story from the beginning, keeping certain attributes of your leveling. Normally, you get to keep your skills and inventory items.

Starfield to receive New Game+ at launch

The feature was confirmed in an interview with Todd Howardwhere the interviewer Sam White said that the game "adds a unique and exciting twist in New Game + to encourage continuous and repeated play".

No further details have been revealed about what this entails, but this news may come as a surprise to some long-time fans of the Bethesda. New Game Plus has not been included in any previous Elder Scrolls or Falloutat least not without the use of mods.

Starfield marks the first time that Bethesda is officially adding the popular feature to one of its games, and fans should expect a twist on the formula.

Starfield arrives on September 6 for PC and Xbox Series. If you purchase the Deluxe upgrade, you'll be entitled to play on August 31.
