Get ready to see the monkeys in action! A SEGA of America has revealed new details of the Battle and Multiplayer modes of Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble.
With local and online support (and lots of fun mechanics), players will be planting banana trees with happiness when Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble lto Nintendo Switch on June 25, 2024.
Get ready to take your place as the biggest banana! Take a look at the first details SEGA has unveiled about Battle Mode.
The game modes of Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble
Up to 2 local players or 16 online players will be able to battle together in five different modes. In addition, regardless of the scenario chosen, it will be possible to select up to 15 bots to join the fray.
- Race
- Race against other players and reach the goal before everyone else... but be careful! If you fall, you'll have to start again from the last checkpoint. Lots of obstacles to dodge in your quest for first place!
- Banana hunt
- The aim of Banana Hunt mode is simple: collect as many bananas as you can! Look out for the Banana Cloud, which will appear randomly with a shower of Banana Bunches. In the last 30 seconds of the match, Fever Time will be activated and Banana Bunches will appear all over the stage. That's a lot of points to collect before time runs out!
- Ca-BUM!
- Pass the bomb to your opponent and roll away! Whoever doesn't have the bomb at the end of the round earns points. Whoever has the highest score at the end of five rounds of pure action wins the prize!
- Goal Race
- In this team game mode, you have to roll through the objectives to score points while working together to beat your opponents. At the end of the match, teams earn points for each objective that matches their team color. Just count the bananas at the end so you don't lose!
- Crush Robot
- Destroy the bots! Two teams compete against each other by hitting giant robots. The damage depends on the character's weight and speed. When it's over, the team with the most points can celebrate!
In each of the modes, players will also be able to find item boxes! Roll on one to receive one of many different items, which include banana peels to make others slip, a stick to send opponents away, a missile to blow people up and a very heavy ball that slows down anyone who is hit. Some items are exclusive to certain characters, so keep an eye out!
In addition to the competitive options, the Adventure Mode of Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble allows 4 players to cooperate locally or online, bringing even more fun together!
Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble will be released for Nintendo Switch on June 25, 2024.
