Taiwan's excellence in the production of gaming hardware technology will be on display for visitors to this year's Brasil Game Show. From October 11 to 15, TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) will present more than 40 products from 13 globally recognized Taiwanese brands at the Taiwan Pavilion. At the 150m² stand, set up in the heart of Latin America's largest games fair, the public will have access to novelties and trends recognized by the Taiwan Excellence award, a rigorous selection system that covers key aspects of R&D (research and development), design, quality and marketing to identify exceptional made-in-Taiwan products developed in the country that offer consumers great innovation.

The space will feature state-of-the-art laptops, monitors, SSDs, memory cards, cases and other items that exemplify the excellence of the Taiwanese industry and are sure to catch the eye of gamers attending the event. In addition to gaming equipment, other outstanding products that combine technology with lifestyle gadgets for gamers will be present. One example is Makalot's fitness pants equipped with electrical muscle stimulation technology, which offer a 20-minute workout equivalent to hours of exercise.

The 13 brands that will be presenting their technology on the Taiwan Excellence stand are: ADATA, Apacer, ASRock, ASUS, BenQ, Edimax, Gigabyte, G.SKILL, InWin, Makalot, Maktar, Teamgroup and Thermaltek. Alongside the partners' respective launches, the Taiwan Excellence space will also offer interactive activities, activations with prizes and gamer experiences, as well as giveaways and services for enthusiasts about the technologies featured there.

Visitors to Taiwan Excellence's Taiwan Pavilion at BGS 2023 will be able to play The Crew Motorfest on gamer PCs, meet influencers passing through the venue, have fun in a 360º photo machine, take part in cosplay contests and try their luck in daily raffles. The venue will also host a press conference on October 11, the first day of BGS 2023, at which ASRock, Teamgroup and Thermaltake will launch their products.

Bilateral trade between Taiwan and Brazil reached more than US$ 3.8 billion in 2022. Among the main products exported from Taiwan to Brazil, memory items and integrated circuits take the lead. The country produces more than 60% of the world's integrated circuits and electronic components and is responsible for a considerable share of global computer and cell phone hardware.

Brazil is the largest video game market in Latin America, according to a report by consultancy PwC 2022-2026. In the first year of the study, the national electronic games industry recorded revenues of around US$ 1.4 billion. According to the study, this figure should double by 2026.

"We are very excited to be taking part in BGS 2023. The event is a great opportunity for us to showcase Taiwan's experience and excellence to Brazilian gamers," says Sandra Shih, director of the Taiwan Trade Center in Brazil. "The fair is also very important for us to expand our business network and presence in the memory of this audience, which is very demanding when it comes to the quality of what it consumes, just like us."
