The owners of The Chant - the single-player third-person horror action-adventure game set in a remote retreat on a spiritual island - will get a surprise release in the form of free DLC, arriving next week.
The Gloom Below takes players to the next step of the adventure, after escaping the horrors of Glory Island, into the depths of a surreal and distorted fusion of The Gloom and the physical world.
The Gloom Below will arrive in The Chant
Working alongside the cursed Anton Family and following the stories of imprisoned cultists, players must make their way through unpredictable encounters and gather the ingredients needed to destroy the heart of The Gloom.
The new content will add additional lore, upgraded skills, new weapons and some new enemies too, as well as having a significant focus on the combat and action elements of the game, providing users with many more hours of horrific enjoyment; each death takes players closer to their escape, so finding the right building will be essential.
The DLC is free for those who own the base game and will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam).
