Is the Wonder Woman game GAAS?

Recently, a rumor went online based on a comment unearthed in a job listing - and that rumor claimed that the Wonder Woman title in development will be a GAAS game.

This means that it will be "one of those" games that is periodically updated with new seasons, DLCs, micro transactions, rotating packs and so on.

It was a cause for concern for gamers around the world, especially those with an interest in taking control of Wonder Woman in their own game, which is being put together by Monoliththat you must remember Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor (and Shadow of War).

Recently, however, the Warner Bros went on air to say that Wonder Woman is not a live service - not even close.

Is the Wonder Woman game GAAS?

In a statement made to IGNWarner Bros representatives wrote:

Wonder Woman is a single-player action-adventure game set in a dynamic open world.

This third-person experience will allow players to become Diana of Themyscira and introduce an original story set in the DC Universe, while also introducing the Nemesis System.

Wonder Woman is not being designed as a live service game.

It was only the list of jobs that recently threw everyone off the rails, since until then, neither the Monolith nor the Warner Bros had said something definitive about Wonder Woman's operational model.

It's reassuring to read that it's a single-player title, though - and the revival of the Nemesis System that made Middle-earth games so much fun to play is also extremely exciting.

Wonder Woman should be released in 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
