DigixArt Studio, the creators of the acclaimed indie hit Road 96, proudly presented today the game Tides of Tomorrow. Announced during the Summer Game Fest Day of the Devs showcase in a bombastic trailer, experience what it really means to live a life at sea.
Tides of Tomorrow is an adventure game set on an ocean planet, Elynd, where a deadly disease threatens all life. Players must explore the various floating cities and towns around the world, deal with threats as they arise and try to find a cure.
In this aquatic world, players will find three different factions, each with its own distinct personality. Choose your allies carefully, as every decision has the potential to create enemies.
In addition, decisions made by players will have consequences for others who follow in their footsteps, with the game's unique asynchronous system allowing players to follow the path of their friends and other players, experiencing the consequences of their choices.
"We wanted to explore a different world - in this case, an oceanic one - and inject a bit of a fantasy element as well," said DigixArt studio director Yoan Fanise. "In addition, we wanted to push the boundaries of how we construct the narrative of Road 96 and develop some real innovation in storytelling. With Tides of TomorrowIn the game, your choices have an impact not only on your world, but also on other players. I think we've created something very innovative."
