Published by tinyBuild, a Flazm takes up the franchise Train Valley after 5 years without a new game, with Train Valley World.

Train Valley World is inspired by classic games of the genre, such as Railroad Tycoon e Sid Meier's Railroadsand allows players to build and manage rail networks around the world.

Check out this article to see if it's worth playing or not Train Valley World.

Train Valley World lets you revisit the past

In Train Valley World you can travel the globe of the early 1900s, visiting countries in the New and Old Worlds, such as the United States, England, Greece and Egypt.

However, you'll face unexpected and seemingly fictitious logistical problems, such as helping Captain Nemo build his famous submarine, blowing up obstacles to redirect floods, setting up antibiotic production to fight a pandemic and even helping the villagers distract the Loch Ness Monster.

It's a variety of levels that will allow you to have different experiences as the game develops, not to mention that players can also design their own challenges and share them with the community via the level editor.

With the new scripting tools, this becomes even denser, allowing complex landscapes, objectives and logistical challenges to be created.

You don't have to venture out alone

If you don't want to be alone, you can call a friend to cooperate with you or not. Train Valley World offers a PvP mode where players need to build more efficient and profitable rail networks, using strategy to outwit their opponents.

At the same time, a cooperative mode allows players to help each other create railway systems, fighting challenges together, sharing resources and optimizing networks.

Regardless of the mode, you can do this in up to 4 players, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Train Valley World has not been well received

Since its launch on Steam, Train Valley World has not been well received by players, who were expecting an evolution compared to its predecessors, especially given the game's development time.

According to the reviews, players felt that there wasn't enough challenge and that it became monotonous after a while, not to mention the number of bugs, the poor quality of the soundtrack and sound effects and the lack of replay factor.

And well, maybe we fit in with these critics.

Is Train Valley World worth playing?

This is my first time playing the franchise, but I have to say I didn't get a good reception. First of all, the game's audio was completely blown out, a bug, but one that bothered me a lot.

Then, during the tutorial, I got a bit lost. The game is a bit complex, but I felt that the tutorial could have been constructed differently. Now, what we need to point out is that in fact, the game is extremely repetitive.

This is one of those games that ended up making me sleepy, causing me to abandon my journey early. It's a shame, because I like management games, and I thought this would be a game I could fit into.

Train Valley World is now available for PC.
