Ubisoft has released the first images of the next Assassin's Creed games

During the broadcast of the Ubisoft Forward conference, the public was able to see the announcement trailer for Assassin's Creed Nexus VR and the first images of Assassin's Creed Codename Jade.

Led by Ubisoft Red Storm** and scheduled for release at the end of 2023, Assassin's Creed Nexus VR is the franchise's first AAA VR title and will allow players to embody legendary master assassins and perform their iconic deeds throughout a complete campaign. The game will be available on the Meta Quest Platform, which includes Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro. In this new adventure, Abstergo Industries has found a way to recover powerful lost artifacts that can profile anyone through their life memories and then use this information to manipulate their beliefs. Players will have to sabotage Abstergo's plan by discovering new chapters in each Assassin's story.

Deeply immersed in the Assassin's Creed universe, gamers will need to make real-world movements to fight with their blade, throw their axe and wield their bow in combats against various enemies. It will also be necessary to move stealthily, use the environment to hide and blend in among civilians to explore historic cities such as Venice, Athens and Colonial Boston. Each environment will offer 360-degree navigation, allowing players to climb and parkour freely while meeting ordinary people and historical figures who will react to the player's virtual reality actions.

In partnership with Level Infinite, a games brand dedicated to delivering high-quality titles to a global audience, Ubisoft is also announcing that it will publish Assassin's Creed Codename Jade. A mobile experience for iOS and Android, this title is the result of a close collaboration between the two brands to create a game that is truly faithful to the Assassin's Creed brand.

In it, players will have access to a huge open-world map set in ancient China in the 3rd century BC, including iconic elements of Assassin's Creed gameplay: exploration, parkour, combat and assassination. For the first time in the franchise, players will be able to customize the appearance of their characters and make them unique before facing a journey full of ancient stories and hidden dangers. Set in an important historical moment, when the Qin Dynasty unified China and secured the trade route to the West, the game allows users to take on desert invaders and work to dismantle conspiracies, taking on greater responsibilities and facing new challenges along the way - from the Great Wall to the imperial capital Xianyang. To ensure an even more polished experience, player feedback will be collected in several beta phases, with the first starting at the end of the third quarter of 2023.
