UFC 5 - All about EA's new game

ufc 5

O Ultimate Fighting Championship is getting its fifth game developed by EA Sports, called UFC 5less than a week before the epic rematch between Islam Makhachev e Charles Oliveira in UFC 294.

EA Sports UFC 5 will be the fifth game in the franchise developed by Electronic Arts. However, it is the 14th overall game based on the fighting league since the first game of the UFC launched in 2000 for the Dreamcast, PlayStation e Game Boy Color.

As in previous versions, you'll be able to fight against friends offline or challenge people around the world online. Career mode is returning, but the EA promised improvements to the experience, including an online career mode.

O EA Sports UFC 5 will also have a revamped submission and grappling system to bring what the publisher claims will be a smoother and more authentic experience.

When will UFC 5 be released and for which platforms?

EA Sports UFC 5 is scheduled for release on October 27, 2023. The game will be released for PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X e S Series. Currently, there are no announced plans to bring the game to older generation consoles, PC or Nintendo Switch.

You can buy the deluxe edition to get a few extra things, including additional fighters, XP boosts in the online career mode and the ability to play the game three days earlier.

Which fighters will be at UFC 5?

Based on the images in the reveal trailer, it looks like Conor McGregor, Michael Chandler, Alexander Volkanovski, Valentina Shevchenko, Amanda Nunes, Israel Adesanya, Alex Pereira, Islam Makhachev and Jon Jones will be at UFC 5.

Fans who book the game will also be able to play as Muhammad Ali, as well as Fedor Emelianenko, Mike Tyson and Bruce Lee if they get the deluxe edition. Apart from these confirmed fighters, you can assume that most of the UFC fighters in the top 15 of their division (along with a few cult heroes) will be in the game.

It has not yet been confirmed whether you can play as UFC president Dana White or announcer Bruce Buffer - as in some previous games.

Frostbite Engine will be present in UFC 5

UFC 5 will be the first time EA's own Frostbite engine has been used for the series. This game engine - which was used for the most recent Battlefield games - seeks to bring a new level of realism to the animation of hair and clothing for the franchise, among other improvements.

As a result, a new system of cuts, bruises and swelling is being implemented, including more than 64,000 possible combinations of facial damage. This means that fighters will wear more realistic battle scars than in previous games.

The blood and sweat graphics are also taking an authentically gory turn, with pools of blood accumulating in the octagon as you engage in brutal wars with your opponent.
