It's not every day that games explore vehicle combat, something that is very visible in the franchise Mad Maxin its chaotic action scenes, and especially in the video game franchise Twisted Metal, originally from PlayStation 1 and recently receiving a series available on Max.

Warhammer Speed Freeks seems to take inspiration from these franchises and puts a deep lore into a chaotic multiplayer battle, and best of all, it's free to play.

Check out our preview of Warhammer Speed Freeks.

The battles can't stop in the Warhammer universe

During the 41st millennium, orks obsessed with speed and addicted to racing decided to get together to hold competitions during the rare breaks between wars.

These orks are known as Speed Freeks, orks who love the sound of the engine, intense speeds and are willing to put their war-worn vehicles through the chaos.

This is where Warhammer Speed Freeks begins, putting explosions, destruction and lots of particles on the player's screen, amid good old heavy metal.

Warhammer Speed Freeks puts you in the Speed Freeks sect

In the midst of various maps and powerful vehicles, you must destroy your enemies using a few strategies and, of course, a lot of brute force, while the teams speed towards glory.

Each vehicle has specific abilities that will help you in combat and, of course, can be customized in a way that best suits you.

You can equip your vehicles with kits, hubcaps, tires, accessories and paint jobs, making them your own.

Two chaotic game modes are available

In Warhammer Speed Freeks there are two game modes available so far: Death Train and Death Rally.

In Deadly Train mode you'll see teams of 8 players going head-to-head to speed up the "Pisoteadô" and drop bombs to slow down the enemy "Pisoteadô". Once all the objectives have been completed, the finish line will become available and whoever reaches it first will be the true winner of the match.

Meanwhile, the Death Rally mode also pits teams of 8 players, but this time the teams have to make their way to certain Achievement Points. As in Death Train, the match ends when you cross the finish line.

A free and extremely fun experience

At first I didn't know that Warhammer Speed FreeksBut when I heard about it, I was hooked. It's a game that keeps you hooked for a long time, largely because of the chaos you encounter in the game.

It's a lot of fun going around destroying enemy vehicles and, of course, winning matches. So far the game is only available on PC and without Portuguese subtitles, after all, it's in early access.

It's worth remembering that although it's free to play, there are optional in-app purchases.

Warhammer Speed Freeks is available in early access at PCvia Steam.
