In special posts for Halloween, the singers Anitta e Marina Sena revealed their costumes for the themed party promoted by Anitta last night (31), characterized as two of the most iconic characters from the game series Mortal Kombat, the sisters Kitana e Mileena.
In the rehearsal, the pop divas not only use the cosplays they have created with mastery, but also wield the weapons characteristic of their characters, with Anitta posing with the iconic pair of Sai daggers used by the merciless and bloodthirsty Mileena. The characters in Anitta and Marina Sena's Halloween 2023 costumes
In previous timelines in the history of Mortal KombatKitana and Mileena were the daughters of the cruel conqueror Shao Khan. They were in eternal rivalry for the throne of the kingdom of Edenia. Mileena, jealous of her sister for being the successor to the throne, has the central ambition of destroying her and reigning over the land of her mother Sindel. Kitana, for her part, eventually finds out about Shao Kahn's atrocities and about her real father, King Jerrod. He was killed by Shao, who would adopt the twins and take Queen Sindel as his wife.
In Mortal Kombat 1However, this happens differently. After seizing the power of the hourglass and resetting time, the Fire God Liu Kang made Kitana and Mileena biological sisters who live together in harmony under the reign of Sindel. In this timeline, the sisters fight together to defeat Shang Tsung, who tricks them into turning against Liu Kang's Earthly Plane after gaining their trust by treating Mileena's Tarkat disease.
