Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - How to complete Ukouh Shrine

Ukouh Shrine will probably be the first shrine you enter in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. I say probably because it's a game with a gigantic map, allowing you as much freedom as possible.

But as she's the closest to Link at the start of the game, it makes sense that you'd want to walk less at the moment. That's so you can see what Nintendo's new puzzles are.

How to complete Ukouh Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Unlike the shrines in the first game, in Tears of the Kingdom they are like "cocoons" with a green aura on top. You need to touch the entrance with your hand to open the passage inside. When you enter the Ukouh Shrine, you will receive Link's new ability from Rauru, the Ultrahand.

The ultrahand works like BOTW's Magnesis, but with a new function: to attach one item to another. And in Ukouh Shrine, that's what you'll need to use constantly.

The first passage is simple, and is like a pinch of Magnesis. You just need to pick up a sign, rotate it and place it between the passage.

In the second part, you'll find two boards next to the wall. You need to leave them parallel on the floor, and when one appears next to the other, you can press A to "Attach".

When you do this, what used to be two individual plates now work as a single piece. If you've misplaced them, just shake the right analog stick and they'll come off.

In the next and final part, you'll see a wooden plank leaning against the wall. It's really quite simple to get past this part. First, you have to place the board flat on the floor.

You will then see two hooks attached to two balls on the wall. Take one hook and shake the right analog stick to release it from the ball. Then leave it straight, with the hook facing upwards, and press the "Attach" function to stick it to the wood.

Repeat the same process with the other hook, leaving them in one piece with the plank. Then take the completed plank to the rail on your right. Simply snap it into place and then quickly climb up.

Finally, Zelda: TOTK arrives on May 12th for Nintendo Switch.
