Drivers go to rally school for the launch of EA SPORTS WRC

(NASDAQ: EA) today released a new video featuring British circuit racer Abbie Eaton and 2023 British Rally Champion and WRC driver Adrien Fourmaux, ahead of the official launch of EA SPORTS™ WRC on November 3. The official FIA World Rally Championship game will be available for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via EA App, Epic Store and Steam. The "Rally versus Racing" content takes players beyond the virtual world, offering a unique insight into the skills required to master a rally car and the pressures that the driver and co-driver endure during a competition on some of the toughest circuits.

As a novice driver in multi-surface off-road racing, Abbie is put to the test in both the virtual and real worlds, courtesy of WRC 2023 competitor Adrien Fourmaux. With EA SPORTS WRC, the current GT driver carries out various tasks in preparation for tackling her first rally stage. From understanding how to start from the line to mastering the pace notes, Abbie learns all aspects of the co-driver role before swapping places with the reigning British rally champion.

After his first stage, Abbie Eaton said: "You have to work a lot harder on this than on a GT car. The game teaches you a lot. With the pace notes, it definitely made a difference to get there."

Regarding the authenticity of EA SPORTS WRC, Adrien Fourmaux commented: "When I started rallying, I was 22 years old. Before that, I played video games and learned a lot from them. It's really similar, and now they're even better with the new technology. It's impressive."

EA SPORTS WRC offers unparalleled realism thanks to the new Dynamic Handling System, longer stages and 50 teams from the WRC, WRC2 and FIA Junior WRC. Combining the Unreal Engine with the physics of the DiRT Rally series, players can compete on 13* official FIA World Rally Championship stages and five real-world inspired locations, with over 600 km of unforgiving asphalt, gravel and snow stages. Players will also be able to create the vehicles of their dreams, courtesy of the new Builder feature, and connect socially through a variety of options, including 32-player cross-platform multiplayer and daily updated Moments, allowing players to relive scenarios from the 2023 season, as well as historical and studio-created challenges.

All players who pre-order† EA SPORTS WRC digitally will receive up to three days of early access starting October 31, 2023**. All pre-orders include five VIP passes, each containing additional post-launch content, and personality packs consisting of paintings and outfits.
