The youtube channel EA and Maxis have announced that the Vitiligo skin feature will be available via a free update to the base game on The Sims 4and increasing its efforts to offer content that authentically and respectfully reflects the diversity of its millions of players.
Vitiligo can appear in Sims of all ages. The patterns vary, showing different levels of coverage and symmetry. In addition, players can choose which parts of the body the features can be seen on, such as the Sim's face, upper torso, lower torso, arms and legs.
To help celebrate the launch, The Sims 4 is collaborating with supermodel and beauty entrepreneur Winnie Harlow. This includes original content such as a simulated version of her Hollywood home and a playable Sim inspired by Winnie.
