During the State of Play this Thursday (30), the Grinding Gear Games has announced its plans for the console version of Path of Exile 2the free next-generation action RPG, which will be available in Early Access simultaneously on multiple platforms later this year. Path of Exile 2 introduces an interesting new feature: local cooperative mode.
"Local co-op is something we've wanted to do for a long time. Action RPGs are a much more fun genre to play with friends, and it's even better when you can play together in the same room," said Jonathan Rogers, Game Director of the project.
Path of Exile II will also feature cross-play and cross-progression, bringing the console version into the same realm, with the same support, as the PC version.
Path of Exile II will be available in Early Access for PC, macOS, Xbox Series X&S and PlayStation 5 until the end of 2024.
