From New Vegas to 4, take a look back at some of the easter eggs in the Fallout franchise

One of the biggest and most successful franchises in gaming, Falloutwas made into a television series by Amazon Prime Video and launched in April 2024.

In this context, the saga, which began in 1997 with the release of the first game, has already received several highly successful and renowned titles. In addition, something that has always been present in the franchise has been its easter eggs, which have always been very creative and diverse.

Easter eggs in the Fallout franchise

In honor of the success of the series, we're going to look back at some of the easter eggs in the franchise's games.

Indiana Jones – Fallout: New Vegas

In the game Fallout: New VegasA refrigerator with a skeleton in it can be found in a certain part of the game.

This easter egg is a clear reference to the iconic scene in the movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skullin which the protagonist enters a refrigerator to save himself from a nuclear explosion. In the game, it doesn't seem to have worked as well as in the movie.

Tubarão – Fallout 4

In Fallout 4you can find a reference to the classic movie: Shark, from Steven Spielberg1975.

In one part of the game, you find a corpse on a boat, next to a sea creature. The whole scene and the corpse's clothing refer to Quint's death in the movie.

Titanic – Fallout 4

In the DLC: Far Harbor, from Fallout 4, players will find a reference to the 1997 film Titanic. In the game, you can find two corpses, one on top of a door and the other in the water leaning on the same door.

It's an easter egg from the iconic scene in which Jack and Rose are on the verge of death, in which the character of Leonardo Di Caprio ends up dying.

South Park – Fallout 1

In Fallout 1from 1997, you can see a reference to the famous cartoon South Parkin which a character called Kenny in the game dies, then the phrase appears: Oh my God! They Killed Kenny! Those bastards!

This phrase refers to the character Kenny from the cartoon, who almost always dies in the episodes, and soon afterwards some character quotes exactly the same phrase that appears in the game.

Ofensa ao Player – Fallout 3

In Fallout 3You can explore an area of the map where there is a curious door.

Opening the door, the phrase appears: Fuck Youa swear word in English, making fun of the players who struggled to get to the venue, receiving a gratuitous and amusing curse.
