Distinct Paths Story DLC and The Mercenaries Update Coming to Resident Evil™ 4 on September 21, 2023, on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam
This afternoon, Capcom revealed Different pathsa new story DLC for Resident Evil™ 4 who emerges from the shadows on September 21, 2023. Different paths explores another facet of this reimagined tale, following in the footsteps of Ada Wong on a clandestine mission that reunites her with Agent Leon S. Kennedy, who is searching for the president's missing daughter. In conjunction with the release of Different pathsA free update for The Mercenaries will be rolled out on the same day, introducing Ada Wong and her notorious boss Albert Wesker as playable characters in this popular bonus mode.
The new trailer also showed electrifying images of Resident Evil 4 VR Mode. This new and immersive way of experiencing the main campaign of Resident Evil 4 will be coming soon to PlayStation®VR2 as a free DLC. Resident Evil 4 VR Mode make the action more real than ever and crank up the intensity with the intuitive PlayStation VR2 Sense™ controls, which bring features such as dual wielding, realistic weapon handling, enhanced knife actions and more.
In Different pathsAda Wong travels to an isolated rural part of Europe in order to infiltrate a village controlled by a religious group known as Los Iluminados. Under the orders of Albert Wesker, Ada is assigned to obtain the cult's darkest secret: a mysterious material known as "the Amber". Her mission ends up intertwined with Leon S. Kennedy's search for the president's missing daughter, bringing an alternative perspective to the main storyline that reveals events unfolding behind the scenes.
In addition to the acclaimed combat mechanics, weapons and knife of Resident Evil 4, Different Paths introduces a new feature that takes the action to new heights. For this thrilling mission, Ada has a Hook Gun that can be used to jump chasms, perform quick climbs and dive into the depths. She can also use the device in combat to engage enemies in melee or launch blows from a distance.
Different paths will be made available for purchase as downloadable content from Resident Evil 4 on September 21, for the PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms via Steam. Suggested prices are R$53.90 (PlayStation Store), R$51.50 (Microsoft Store), and R$48.00 (Steam).
Resident Evil 4 VR Mode is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2024 as a free DLC exclusive to PlayStation VR2.
