According to a recent live stream from the Ryu Ga Gotoku studio, the next game from the producer of Like a Dragon (formerly Yakuza) will be unveiled in September at TGS.
However, they haven't said anything specific, not even which franchise it will be from. During the Essence of Fandom event at Anime Expo earlier this month, the studio said that fans would be surprised.
Fans at the event said that the Ryu Ga Gotoku studio was referring to Like a Dragon. However, it could possibly be a new game in the Judgment series, a spin-off from the main saga. Furthermore, in recent years, the Japanese developer has also focused on remakes of its first games, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2. Could it be Yakuza Kiwami 3?
The 2024 Tokyo Game Show (TGS) will take place in Japan from September 26 to 29 and 250,000 people are expected to attend.
The latest official news we have about Like a Dragon is Amazon Prime Video's 6-episode live-action series, which will arrive on October 25th.
The latest game from the Ryu Ga Gotoku studio is Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, which was released earlier this year and follows the adventures of Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu in a turn-based RPG.
