The youtube channel Ubisoft and the studio Evil Empire have just announced The Rogue Prince of Persiaa 2D roguelite-style action platformer. The news was revealed during the Triple-I Initiativeand the game will be released on Steam on May 14, 2024, in early access.
The Rogue Prince of Persia takes place in a fictional representation of Ctesiphon, the capital of the Persian Empire. The city is facing an invasion by the Hun army, made up of possessed soldiers led by the evil chieftain Nogai.
Players take on the role of the Prince, who has been gifted with a mystical ball that brings him back to life every time he is killed. The magical artifact allows him to take great risks to perfect acrobatic and combat skills in his youth, transforming him into an incredible warrior.
With each new attempt, players must help the protagonist explore different biomes, master weapons, use various devices, improve their equipment in the Oasis and gather their allies to save the city from destruction.

To master the stages, players will have to use the iconic wall run, which will help them cross gaps, avoid traps and overcome enemies. From the aqueduct to the great academy to the wild gardens, the Prince must use all his skills to find a route through procedurally generated environments made up of a wide variety of colorful biomes inspired by Persian architecture.
In addition to all the native dangers that players will have to deal with, they must face a host of enemies, both Huns who wield shamanic black magic and creatures corrupted by its influence. Many options are available to suit all styles of play, from twin daggers to spears, broadswords and axes.
Secondary weapons extend the combat even further, with options for shields, bows, climbing hooks and much more. Using these skills in combination with wall runs, shoulder jumps, kicks and stomps will make the Prince a formidable warrior.
The Rogue Prince of Persia is developed by Evil Empire, published by Ubisoft and have been released in early access on Steam on May 14, 2024.
