During the Xbox Official Podcast this Thursday (15), which detailed the future of the Xbox, it was announced that the Xbox Game Pass currently has 34 million subscribers.
The 34 million is up from the 25 million the company last reported, an increase of 36%. However, the figures are not where the company had planned, as it had a target of reaching 100 million subscribers by 2030.
In general, the head of the Xbox, Phil Spencerknows that not everyone will sign up for the Xbox Game Pass. And for him, that was never the company's goal.
“Nosso objetivo não é tornar todo mundo um assinante do passe de jogo.” Spencer disse em entrevista ao The Verge.. “Eu disse muitas vezes que talvez 10% a 15% da nossa receita de conteúdo e serviços seja receita de assinantes. É um bom negócio para nós hoje, Game Pass, mas de forma alguma há um plano que diga ‘Ok, todo mundo precisa se tornar um assinante do Game Pass’.”
