Elden Ring: Shadow of Erdtree - Release date, new generation exclusivity and more

On Tuesday evening the From Software announced on its official X profile that the DLC for Elden Ringcalled Shadow of Erdtree, will receive a gameplay trailer of about 3 minutes this Wednesday.

Shortly after the announcement, renowned insider billbil-kun, from Dealabs, informed players with a post that unravels many mysteries about the DLC of Elden Ring. For example, its release date, platforms and details of a new physical version of the game.

Elden Ring: Shadow of Erdtree release date

Despite Dealabs not 100% sure about the release date of the DLC for Elden RingThey indicate that it will be released on June 21. According to them, this date may not be right as it is the same day that two physical editions of the game with DLC will be released in France.

This means that the physical media may end up arriving in stores at a later date. But if that doesn't happen, the DLC will actually be released on June 21.

New editions and exclusivity in the new generation?

If you haven't got the game yet, don't worry. The Elden Ring will be included in a new physical edition of the game. The two editions will arrive in stores on June 21.

It's not yet known what will be special about the Collector's Edition of the game.

Another detail to note is that the new editions of the game will only be available for the new generation consoles, in addition to the PC. Perhaps this indicates that the DLC will not be available on older generation consoles such as PS4 and Xbox One.

We've seen this happen before, as in the case of Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores e Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade. But it could also be that it's just the new physical media.

When is the event?

Once again, the event that will highlight the gameplay of the DLC of Elden RingShadow of Erdtree, will take place this Wednesday (21) at noon, at the exact moment when the Nintendo Direct will close.
